Sewing lessons...sort of

On Easter Chloe got a "Sew your own" purse kit from us. And Monday we started working on it. Here are a few pictures...

Here Chloe is working on the center of the flower just doing a very simple stictch but it was challenging for her to get all the yarn pulled through.

I was helping Chloe by holding the flower as she started sewing around the outside of it.

Look at her hard at work...Notice her "My Mom's Rockin'" shirt....

We had to hot glue the flower to this piece...
After this part I had to sew the main part of the purse mostly together. Chloe stitched here and there and then she helped me attach the handles.

By Tuesday.... Ta-Da! It's finished. She carries it everywhere now! And inside she has her wallet (that sometimes has more money than mine), her sunglasses, a lip gloss and several chapsticks...that she likes to put on (all of them) in the car as we are driving somewhere. Her lips look very...glossy and um....hydrated...by the time we get somewhere. (:
Myles was watching her strike a pose here.

Mr. Myles...posing with a goose? He's so cute!

They were rolling balls across the table and watching them roll off.

And now Myles strikes a pose!
Today (Friday) we are off to the Michell Domes in Milwaukee for our first Girl Scout fieldtrip with the troop. It should be a fun but interesting morning. AND this afternoon Maggie and Amber will be HERE...at MY house. My first official non-family overnight guests! YAY!
We hope you are enjoying this weather!!
xoxo
